- Elections are conducted according to the constitutional provisions, supplemented by laws made by Parliament. The major laws are Representation of the People Act, 1950, which mainly deals with the preparation and revision of electoral rolls, the Representation of the People Act, 1951 which deals,in detail, with all aspects of conduct of elections and post election disputes.
- Information relating to enrolment of name in the electoral roll, conduct of elections and issue of Electors’ Photo Identity Cards (EPIC) are available on this website for awareness of the public and for encourage Voters to exercise their electoral rights.

What will you do to register, cancel, object to any name and correct name and other details?
To register the name of a citizen of 18 years or above on 01-01-2021, apply in Form-2 (including proof of age and residence), in which a color photograph of your passport size should be affixed at the designated place, so that while entering the name, your Your photo may also appear in front of the name.
If there is any objection against any name in the electoral roll, to apply for it or to have the name canceled from the electoral roll in Form-3 -
To apply in Form-2 to correct one's name, photo and other details registered in the electoral roll. To apply in Form-2 (a) for transfer of name from one part of the same Assembly constituency to another.
You can get the above sample free of cost from the Collectorate, Voter Registration Officer / Assistant Voter Registration Officer's Office, Province / Mamlatdar's Office as well as Booth Level Officer and you can fill this form and give it there along with the required evidence.

You will be able to get this sample through Booth Level Officer at the polling station of your area from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm on the day of special campaign on 9-11-2020 (Sunday) and you will be able to return the filled applications at the same place on this day.
How to verify the name in the electoral roll?

✒Write ECI <SPACE> your voter ID number on 1950 number from mobile and send SMS.
Details in your voter list, as well as ECICONTACT <SPACE> write your voter ID number and send SMS.
Giving will know the details of the booth level officer of your area.
You will have a voter photo identity card but you will not be able to vote if you do not have a name in the voter list, so even if you have a voter photo identity card, make sure your name is in the voter list.
